Day Spa Review

Location and facilities
I love the accessibility of Adelaide. It’s great to just drive right up to where you want to be and find a park, at reasonable prices, and have fun. On a recent trip to Adelaide, I parked on the street outside Bar 9, enjoying one of the premier coffee experiences in town, parked right in the heart of the cbd to wander the markets and art galleries and finally drove just out of the heart of the city to arrive at Cocoon.
Cocoon Spa & WellnessAnticipating a great relaxing finish to a fun day, I was warmly greeted by the manager of Cocoon. She introduced us to a staff member who escorted us to the change rooms to leave behind our day stress and enjoy a comfy robe and thongs in the lounge. The decor in the lounge was comfortable, with a dark neutral colour palette and the occasional sculptural accent.
My wife chose a massage to enjoy at the spa with me today, so we were offered the couples suite, complete with spacious spa bath, double massage tables and adjustable faux chandelier lighting. After a time to climb under the sheet and blanket, Morgan, my therapist arrived to begin my Pure Performance facial.

Quality of Spa Experience
Cocoon Spa & Wellness Couples RoomBoth therapists in the room worked flawlessly to complete the relaxing ambiance, taking the extra time to close the doors quietly, adjust the lighting to appropriate levels, talking quietly and only at the right times. Covering my eyes with a cloth, Morgan began the ritual with aromatic oil on her hands held over my face. A delicate fragrance signalled the start, with Morgan moving onto the cleansing facial products with smooth dexterity. I was very warm and relaxed on the table, easing into the treatment and finding myself drifting away.
While the cleansing product was working on my skin, I was treated to a wonderful neck and scalp massage, easing my shoulder tension and helping me to move deeper into relaxation. The moisturising treatment felt very lush, but also light on the skin. The whole process felt thoroughly cleansing, leaving my skin feeling smooth and fresh. That I was left feeling completely relaxed, too, was a compliment to the skill of my therapist. Morgan completed the facial with a ritual finish, then allowing me time to rise, change and relax in the lounge while she discussed the finer points of the products used in the treatment. Unfortunately, when I returned to the lounge it was actually full, so my wife and I had to stand for a few minutes before changing into our clothes. Then we had a chance to sit and enjoy a few minutes of quiet.
Used exclusively in day spas, the Comfort Zone product, imported from Italy, offer a full range of skincare products, including a dedicated men’s range.
