East Day Spa opens in Melbourne

New day spa opening

Luxury Spa brand East Day Spa has added to its folio of day spas in Auckland, Wellington, and Bali with a new spa in Melbourne. Located within the heritage surrounds of the 5-star InterContinental Melbourne, the Rialto, East Day Spa has a comprehensive listing of services, including some super-indulgent offerings like dual therapist massage, and their Ultimate East Experiences which go from 90min sessions to almost 6 hours of sublime relaxation.

It’s becoming popular to offer East/West fusion services, holistic therapies, and an international flavour, with a number of recent entries to the local day spa scene using asian influences.

I notice that East Day Spa have their own range of services for men, called East Man. These are really just a few facials with blokey titles, presumably marketed to men who are too self-conscious to order off the full menu. They don’t seem to worry about massage or body work, though, and for these men need to dip into the standard menu.

What’s in a face?

Is anyone else sick of seeing Male Menus that are really just an afterthought of marketing?
Or are men really scared to order off the usual menu for facials?

Let us know what you think…
